For the first 35 minutes there was only one team in it and it was a case of how many goals the Ashes would score.
Rangers were having a hard time getting out of their own half and the pressure paid off when Marc Thorne beat three defenders before firing home from the edge of the area to give the home side the lead.
The pressure stayed on until on 36 minutes with the Ashes back line pushing up to the half-way line a great ball out of defence from the visitors found James Blake who with no challengers ran half the length of the field and then place the ball into the corner of the home net to make the score 1-1.
With just 1 minute to half-time the Ashes were once again back in front when a good run by Gavin Coulton down the left and cross found Marc Thorne heading home from six yards.
The second half was a complete disaster for the Ashes, not onl did they concede three goals but also missed a penalty.
Rangers looked more comfortable on the ball and and whe Roger Ingham was fouled in the area up stepped Cullompton captain Brett Worbey to bring the scores level.
On 72 minutes the Ashes had a penalty when Luke Doddridge was upended from behind in the area but Ross Saint's kick was well saved by visiting keeper Joe Moore.
Just 4 minutes later and Rangers were in front when Alex Greening hit a well struck shot low into the corner of the Ashes net from the edge of the area. With time running out Rangers made the game safe when Aaron Doble hit a 20 yard shot that beat the unsigted Ben Elphick.
Saltash United M.O.M. No man of the match.
